It’s arguable that the future of cable TV is exactly what fuboTV looks like. You have access to live sports and tons of channels usually only accessible through cable. The service definitely competes with our best streaming services to be your go-to option.

Why We Like It – fuboTV review

fuboTV offers live TV streaming, live sports, on demand content, and DVR storage all in one package. Sports fans will especially love its sports content, but there’s still a lot of TV shows and movies for everyone.

Pros
  • Live sports and TV without cable
  • Cloud DVR storage included
  • Much more than just sports
Cons
  • Similar pricing to traditional cable

Performance

fuboTV has sports shows galore. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as some of the included sports channels are NFL Network, beIN Sports, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, ESPN channels, FOX Soccer, regional sports networks, and, well…you get the picture. That’s quite a channel lineup. fuboTV definitely sets itself apart with its access to international sports and regional sports.

Streaming quality is quite good, which is even more important for live TV streaming services than it is for a strictly on demand streaming service.

Design

fuboTV gives you everything that cable TV offers with more flexibility. It’s a TV streaming service designed to bring live TV experiences to the modern day viewer. Whether you watch NBC Sports or FOX News, you’ll find it all here in one well thought out package. It’s also become big enough to be available on Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Apple TV, and all the other major devices.

Value

fubo tv is effectively designed to be a live TV streaming service replacement for cable TV, which is why it has a higher price of entry. The base package is fubo Standard, which is designed for one person or a household streaming on one TV. Although it’s the standard plan, it offers access to over 100 channels. The next plan up is the fubo Family Plan. That gives you the benefit of Family Share, which allows TV streaming on up to three devices at once.

From there, there are add ons like fubo Sports Plus, fubo Extra, Cloud DVR Plus (Cloud DVR is included in the Family Plan), and more. It all depends on what kind of content you want and how much you want to spend, but the flexibility is there. Start with a seven day free trial and go from there.

If you just want access to sports content, you could consider the much cheaper ESPN streaming service (which you can bundle with Disney streaming service as well). Hulu streaming service also has access to live sports at a similar price point to fuboTV. If you want the whole sha-bang, fuboTV is a great option.

fuboTV review Wrap Up

As far as TV streaming services go, you have the choice between fuboTV and Sling TV for the best live TV access. There’s also YouTube TV, but it’s less developed than the other two streaming services. fuboTV isn’t in the same arena as Netflix streaming service and Amazon Prime Video streaming service when it comes to original content. However fuboTV is a fantastic option for those who want the cable TV experience, who love live events, and will make use of the Cloud DVR. Grab a free trial and see for yourself.
