As Apple continues with its tradition of blessing us with some new tech every year, there are some fans and customers who will stick with the brand’s Apple-only accessories like a preacher sticks to his Bible. If you consider yourself a bit different and want to see what else is there for you to explore, then a third party accessory wouldn’t be that much of a bad idea. Cue the ESR iPad Case. A thin, sexy alternative to Apple’s Smart Folio that will leave your new iPad looking so good you’ll wonder why you didn’t get it earlier in the first place. You can compare it to the Back To The Future iPad case. The smart cover retails a lot cheaper than the Folio, and we think it has enough to top our list as the case for the best iPads you can get. Here’s why:

Why We Like It – ESR iPad Case

The new 2020 iPad Pro just got announced, and if the Folio case it comes with doesn’t appeal to you as much, then the ESR Yippee Smart Case could make for a reliable alternative. You’ll get all the features that come with the Folio Case, only that you won’t have to pay as much for them.

Pros
  • Very thin
  • Strong magnets
  • Decent build quality
Cons
  • Embossed with the ESR logo

Performance

A lot of people have the Smart Folio as their default choice for iPad cases and they don’t have any reason for looking at alternatives. The ESR iPad Case however presents a few reasons that we’re sure most people would consider. It’s not drowned in leather-like material like the Procase iPad Case, but it’s made out of silicone on the inside, and has a PU leather exterior that lends to it a nice touch. The cover also switches easily between the two sleep wake states when you lift it off the screen or push it down, and provides some space for you to attach the Apple pencil onto the tablet. Design

This ESR case is available in more than up to 10 colors (doesn’t match the Procase iPad Case for 5th/6th Generation iPads at 18), and all their backs are opaque as opposed to being see through. It has two large cut outs with one at the top and bottom, and two more on the side for the volume buttons and a magnetic connector. The magnets on the front of the cover are strong enough to keep your screen safe when you’re not using your iPad, and keep it steady when you fold it back to make a stand. Value

If you’re looking for third-party iPad cases for your iPad Air, iPad Air 2 or iPad Pro, then the ESR iPad case should be the first among your options to consider. It doesn’t match up to the 32 design options of the MoKo iPad Case, but Iit sells for less than $30 on Amazon, and if you buy enough of them you might qualify for free shipping. The case is one of the best you can get under a tight budget, and you’ll still get all the features that the Smart Case from Apple would afford you.

ESR iPad Case Wrap Up

Getting a Smart Case is probably one of those decisions that you probably make without having to think too much about. If you’ve never tried any other, then go ahead and get the ESR Yippee. It goes for less than 30 bucks, so you can get it without breaking the bank.
