The Ecotric is a heavy-duty electric mountain bike with a rear hub motor with 500W of power. Those fat tires are designed to tackle off-road terrain like a champ. While it isn’t the fastest ebike you can buy, this bad boy is all about conquering rough paths far from the road. It is also a convenient folding electric bicycle.

Ecotric Build Quality And Design
The build quality on this ebike is top-notch. The durable aluminum alloy frame is solid. It feels like you are riding on a tank. In a good way. The Ecotric fat tire electric bike looks much like any other mountain bike, but with some extra style and those fat tires have an attitude. It is a looker. It has a 260 pound weight capacity.
Other features include front and rear disc brakes, 20″ front and rear wheels, variable speed control, a 1/2 Twist Throttle, and Shimano 7 Speed gear. The LED 810 Display Panel gives you info like speed when riding and it is easy to read.

Power
This 20 inch fat tire ebike 500w comes packing some serious power in the form of a huge 500 watt rear hub motor, which works with the 36v battery to reach a maximum speed of up to 20 miles per hour. And provide riding distances of about 20 miles on a single charge of the battery as well. I hit both of those numbers in my tests. That motor does a fine job of pushing through some pretty rough terrain. I tested the ecotric electric mountain bike in muddy grass, sand, rocking areas with sticks everywhere, and it just powered through like it was hungry.

Charging Time
About battery life. The only real bad news here is the charging time. It takes 6-8 hours to charge the 36v lithium cell battery. But the good news is that what this electric bike delivers make that charging time worth it. I was bummed about it, but you are getting a lot of power and performance and the fact is that that requires a time investment when charging the lithium battery.
Performance
Where do I start? This fat tire ebike is a killer mountain bike for trails and out of the way places. I took it into the woods, through rough roads in the local park and through muddy grass. Those fat tires just grip the terrain and plow forward. The ride is pretty smooth too as those tires and the frame absorbs the bumps beautifully. The disc brakes feel very nice and they react well. I felt like I was riding any other mountain bike, except that I had more power and the ride was just more pleasant.
Bottom Line
This portable folding ebike will impress anyone who enjoys riding of the beaten path. If the long charge time is something you can live with, the ride is very rewarding. There are plenty of features here as well, like the 500 watt motor, LED display, the Shimano gear system for when you want to pedal yourself, great top speed and dual disk brakes. Turns out an electric mountain bicycle with Shimano gears drives awesome.
It should be noted that it has no rear light for safety at night though. This model is also expensive, but ultimately I feel like it is worth it. This is a mountain bike that will last a long time and the ride is really amazing. It is one of the better folding bikes you can buy.
Bikes like this could easily replace electric dirt bikes for some casual riders. It is similar to the Ancheer folding bike
