Why We Like It – Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS All-Season Radial Tire

The Bridgestone Dueler H P Sport AS All-Season Radial Tire is designed to fill the need of drivers looking for a summer high performance tire for their trucks, crossovers and SUV’s who seek both all-season traction as well as a higher level of handling and cornering grip.

Pros
  • Dry and wet traction is outstanding
  • Excellent cornering grip
  • Steering response
Cons
  • Winter weather performance
  • Treadlife issues for some drivers

Performance

Like almost all year round all purpose tires the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS All-Season Radial Tire falls short during winter but shines during summer and in the rain, with the Goodyear Wrangler Radial Tire 75R15 being little different in that regard. Where the Sport AS shines is response from the tires and turning under high speeds. If you want to give the family car a rest but still enjoy a ride with your family, check out our Family Cargo Bike By Bunch Bikes review.

Design

Built with a silica tread compound and symmetric design, the HP Sport AS delivers increased dry traction, while high stiffness closed shoulders give this tire outstanding cornering capabilities. In fact it is one of the better vehicle tires in its class for cornering grip, which is an area that is often mentioned in other driver reviews rarely applied to. The design of the treads provide enhanced traction and handling on wet road surfaces while reducing the risk of hydroplaning at higher speeds. Bridgestone’s tread design also includes added sipes around the tread for better grip on light snow covered surfaces, although traction in winter conditions is not a strong suit for this model or really any year round tires even the Milestar MS932 Sport Season Radial falls short.

Value

When it comes to price it’s not absorberiant at it’s cost but it is nearly double the cost for Milestar MS932 Season Radial Tire 205 which while the tire is in a different class it does indicate you could very possibly find a cheaper set or single tire if you need one.

Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS All-Season Radial Tire Wrap Up

All in all the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport is a good tire but not the best for winter or when you take into account the short lifespan a number of drivers experienced when for it’s cost should have lasted longer.
