In terms of performance, the Yoobao Portable Charger 10000mAh is rocking a really good battery. With that kind of capacity, you can get anywhere between 2 to 3 full charges off of it—though it varies depending on the device. For $22, that’s pretty good, especially in times of need, like on a long trip. The Anker PowerCore 20100mAh, however, has double the Yoobao’s capacity and then some, making it ideal for charging more than one device. To keep from wasting the charge, there are safeguards in place that prevent overcharging, over-discharging, over-voltage, overcurrent and short circuiting.

By comparing the Yoobao Portable Power Bank with the Jackery Portable Charger, you’ll realize just how bulky this external battery backup is. It’s relatively lightweight at 9.52 ounces, but across a dimension of 5.39 x 2.32 x 0.87 inches. This is something you’d slip in your pocket, but rather a backpack or purse. It has a built-in flashlight for “what-if” moments, and can be handy in a pinch. Unfortunately, better choices are available. The INIU Portable Charger has the same capacity, is slimmer in design, and can charge devices 1.4x faster through UPower+ technology—for $30! If you can spend the extra cash, go with INIU, if not, the Yoobao is still a great option.
