For the best mouse, you need plenty of DPI options and a good polling rate. The VicTsing MM057 isn’t the greatest in either category, but offers plenty of options within a comfortable design to make it a solid choice for gamers on a budget. And with its long connection distance, it supports various gaming setups.

Why We Like It – VicTsing MM057 Review

With an ergonomic design, a good variety of DPI settings and good polling rates, this wireless mouse is best suited for the hands of a gamer on a budget.

Pros
  • Works up to 33 feet
  • Adjustable DPI levels
  • Good choice on a budget
Cons
  • Has a USB receiver
  • Lacks a wired cable

Performance

For what you pay, the VicTsing MM057 does well for casual gaming. DPI levels are wide, with 5 options: 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, and 2400. The polling rate is average, with only two options: 125Hz and 250Hz. It has a really good connection distance of 33 feet, making it ideal for couch setups. Unfortunately, that good connection is linked to a USB nano receiver, rather than Bluetooth. Make sure you have an open USB port. As for battery life, it really depends on the brand you use. The VicTsing MM057 is not rechargeable, unlike the Apple Magic Mouse 2.

Design

Not only does the VicTsing work well, it feels good in the hand, too. It has concaves and curves that allow for your fingers to rest comfortably. Even the scroll wheel scrolls smoothly with enough response that doesn’t feel loose or breaking too strongly. This is incredibly different from the strange and uncomfortable design of the Microsoft Arc Mouse. DPI settings can be changed by tapping the button near the mouse wheel. It would’ve been better if it didn’t stick out so far, perhaps closer to the shape of the mouse. Sometimes you’ll tap it by accident.

Value

So, why or who would use this? If you want to get the most out of your games—the fastest response times, and so on—then this mouse is not for you. Wired mice will always be superior in that regard. But if you’re on a budget, and you need a good mouse to serve you well, then the VicTsing MM057 is a solid choice. It’s only $11, plus free shipping. Consider upgrading to the Logitech M510 if you want better performance.

VicTsing MM057 Review Wrap Up

The VicTsing MM057 Wireless Mouse takes a few wrong turns, but overall is a good package; the sum of its parts are more valuable than individually. It still performs well as a wireless mouse, though the nano receiver is a bummer. It has enough DPI levels for variety and can work at a great distance.
