The Vava 4K Projector offers near-perfect image quality at an incredible maximum brightness, and does so from very close to the screen or wall. This home theater projector also offers a genuine cinema experience from the comfort of your home, being one of the best laser projectors, best short throw projectors, and one of the best ceiling-mounted projectors on the market. Unfortunately, the projector only displays in native 1080p, upscaled to 4K resolution, rather than native true 4K.

Why We Like It – The Vava 4K Projector

The Vava 4K Projector is a powerhouse even among other projectors, displaying awesome images with intense brightness from its laser light source, and projecting a screen of 100” from just 8” away. The performance offered by the Vava 4K projector is tough to match.

Pros
  • High contrast ratio
  • High brightness
  • Amazing speakers
Cons
  • Native 1080p resolution

Performance/Resolution

The highlight of this laser projector review, the performance of the Vava 4K Projector is exceptional. Upscaled 1080p resolution delivers near 4K images with a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio for incredible color. This Vava projector also comes with ALPD 3.0 Cinematic Technology and 60W Harman Kardon speakers to provide a genuine cinema experience in the comfort of your home. For a true 4K experience, the Optoma 4K Projector or the Sony 4K projector are great alternatives. If you want a projector with MHL support through one of the HDMI ports, consider the Epson Home Cinema 1060.

Brightness/Lumens

Unlike the ViewSonic 4K projector, this Vava ultra-short-throw projector offers an unparalleled maximum brightness of up to 6,000 lumens, easily overcoming any ambient light. Thanks to its excellent contrast ratio, this UST projector can display incredible images during daylight hours and in brightly-lit rooms. Very few projectors can match the brightness of the Vava 4K Projector, and fewer still can do so without some color washout, but this projector will faithfully display quality images in any environment. If 6,000 lumens is more than you need, the Optoma UHZ65 offers half the brightness in favor of true 4K definition.

Adjustability/Viewing Angle

On top of being an ultra-short-throw projector, the Vava 4K Projector comes with a variety of adjustability features to make installation incredibly easy. The 0.233 throw ratio already makes for easy setup, but the projector also features digital zoom and focus features, as well as keystone correction, making installation quick and completely stress-free. These features can be adjusted easily via the included Bluetooth remote. Additionally, HDR10 technology ensures faithful reproduction of HDR content in near 4K resolution. Only a handful of projectors, such as the LG HU85LA, offer comparable adjustability features.

Durability

The Vava 4K Projector sports a sleek case of 20.98×14.49×4.21”, which houses a variety of connection options including HDMI and USB ports. The projector also boasts an impressive average lamp life of 25,000 hours, standing out even among other laser projectors. Assuming an operation time of 4 hours per day, the bulb will only need replacing every 17 years or so, making frequent expensive bulb replacements a thing of the past. Vava also offers a warranty extension of up to 2 years of product service.

Value

While similar projectors may come with a smaller price tag, the Vava 4K Projector outperforms them all. The extra money spent will go a long way in terms of quality, and with a bulb that will rarely, if ever, need replacement, this projector is a good value. Few projectors can offer 4K images at this price point, and the laser light source with ultra-short-throw ratio makes for an exceptional projector for its cost. This is fortunate, as the projector requires an ALR screen to project the best images possible.

Vava 4K Projector Wrap Up

The Vava 4K Projector delivers incredible image quality in the brightest environments and is easy to install while being inexpensive to maintain. Though it does not possess native 4K resolution, this Vava projector offers a genuine cinema experience and is guaranteed to impress everyone who views with you.
