Teton Sports Leef Sleeping Bags have made a name for themselves as premiere sleeping bags focusing on material quality and comfort and this iteration does not disappoint. There’s no sleeping pad, but if rock-bottom price means you can easily go out and buy one for cheap. Check out our best sleeping bags list for more!

Why We Like It – Teton Sports Leef 0 Sleeping Bag

The bag Teton Sports Leef is about as good as a sleeping bag can get. It has a high (or low?) temperature rating to keep you warm when you’re out in the woods at night and the compression sack is really easy to use. Remember all the time you spend trying to stuff your old sleeping bag in the stuff sack? Well, no more of that.

Pros
  • Great stuff sack for compression
  • Three piece hood for added warmth
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Heavy for a sleeping bag
  • No sleeping pad

Performance

The Teton Sports Leef 0 Sleeping Bag includes a zipper baffle that prevents the cold air from getting into the sleeping bag. Always make sure to check for the temperature rating on ultralight sleeping bags. The Sports Leef has a 0 degree rating, the same as the Outdoor Vitals Summit 0°F, which is quite good. Teton also provides a durable compression sack that’s easy to stuff the mummy style bag into for ultimate compressibility.

Design

The Teton Sports Leef Ultralight Mummy bag features a three-piece hood that pulls in tight around your face to keep your whole head warm. The ripstop shell has a water resistant rating of 40DD making it fantastic if you’re sleeping near water or if morning dew is a problem at your campsite. At 4.2 pounds it’s not exactly heavy, but still heavier than most sleeping bags, so consider the Winner Outfitters Mummy Sleeping Bag if you’d like a light, 2.8 pound ultralight mummy sleeping bag.

Value

The Teton 0 Sports Leef Mummy Bag comes in a variety of sizes and design but the leef version measures *7”x34” at the shoulders x 22” at the foot. Unfortunately, a sleeping pad is not included in any of the models. It retails for only $88.00 though, so buying a sleeping pad shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. Check out the Western Mountaineering Summerlite Mummy 32F if you’re willing to spend a bit more and want everything upfront.

Teton Sports Leef 0 Sleeping Bag Wrap Up

The Teton Sports Leef model outperforms most other sleeping bags in terms of comfort and warmth, Two qualities you absolutely want in your sleeping bag. It has its flaws, like the lack of a sleeping pad, but it’s also quite affordable. It’s 4.2 pounds, a little heavy for a sleeping bag, but really, 4.2 pounds is nothing.
