Performance

The Sony A9 camera features a 24.2-megapixel 35mm full-frame stacked CMOS sensor that’s paired with the BIONZ X processing engine. It offers high speed continuous silent shooting of up to 20 frames per second with AE/AF tracking. The camera has a maximum shutter speed of 1/32000, which is ideal for sports photographers and can be used in professional sports. Design

Being a mirrorless camera, the Sony A9 has a compact camera body that’s easy to use with one hand. It has both a mechanical shutter, and an electronic shutter with a total 693 phase detection points for fast and accurate focusing. The camera gets an electronic viewfinder at the top and a 3.0-inch LCD touch display at the back, which has a flip-out design. The A9 uses Sony’s E-mount Lens system that supports lenses like the E 16-55 mm F2.8 G. It also gets dual SD card slots, and is a worthy competitor for the Panasonic Lumix G7.

Value

This Sony mirrorless camera offers superb image quality and can record 4K videos with high dynamic range, ISO performance, and detail. The AF system that features dual focus mode makes this a great camera for all kinds of use cases. The dual SD card slots make it easy to separate RAW files from JPEG. The camera also offers FTP background transfer, a simple menu system that’s easy for first time users, and better than cameras such as the Nikon D5 and some Canon EOS products.
