Performance

With the Instant Pot Smart WiFi pressure cooking has never been easier, even more so than its counterpart, the Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1. For starters, it’s multi use, capable of being a pressure cooker yogurt maker slow cooker rice cooker steamer, warmer, steamer, saute pan, and cake maker. The pressure cooker slow at first, which isn’t uncommon among pressure cookers, but cooking time was also two or three times faster than conventional ovens. But best of all, it has access to voice commands through Amazon Alexa or Assistant. Not even the Ninja FD401 Foodi 8-qt. 9-in-1 Deluxe XL Cooker & Air Fryer has that.

Design

Like the Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1, the Smart WiFi Instant Pot Duo Plus isn’t much of a looker. It’s comparatively plain next to the Ninja with its rather bright stainless steel finish. Fortunately, that didn’t hinder its performance. While the EasySeal Lid is not available on this model (check the Duo Nova), it has advanced overheating protection, safety lid, steam release, and more when it comes to safety features. Along the front are 13 one-touch smart programs, each specifically programmed to cook common foods. The inner pot is also dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.

Of course why control the crock pot on the front when you could use your mobile device? Through the Instant Pot app, you can use your smart device as a remote control. At the same time, you can get notifications, recipes, and check the progress of your meal.

Value

With our Instant Pot Smart WiFi review coming to an end, we asked ourselves this: is it worth it? Short answer: yes. Without the bells and whistles, having the ability to cut cooking times in half is already great, especially for busy people, and sometimes as much as three times. That alone makes it worth the price. Once you start considering its Wi-Fi capabilities, voice commands, one-touch smart programs and overall versatile nature—unlike the Dash DEC005BK—it compounds and gives you every reason to at least consider it.

Smart WiFi Instant Pot Review Wrap Up

Like the Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1, it wasn’t a big deal the EasySeal lid was omitted from this build. It isn’t a requirement for delicious meals, and delicious meals are what you’ll have with the Smart WiFi Instant Pot Duo Plus. It’s an 8-in-1 pressure cooker with voice commands and smart programs. What more could you ask for? And when you’re done enjoying good food, the inner pot can go into the dishwasher.
