Rearviz Wristband Rear View Mirror for Bicyclists Puts the Cool in Looking Back

RearViz-Mirrors

When I bike, as in bicycle, I don’t wear biking clothing.  Which is to say, you’ll never find me in a pair of neoprene skin tight shorts.  And with that I’ll never fix a rear view mirror to my bike, though admittedly I did when I was teenager prior to acquiring my driver’s license.  But that isn’t to say I wouldn’t enjoy its utility.

The Rearviz looks to be the perfect solution.  It’s effectively a wristband with a rear view mirror that pops out and can be rotated such that a rider can see who is creeping on their rear end.

Their website has a “coming soon” splash page, but Technabob appears to have acquired the remaining deets.  Two versions will be sold when and if it goes on sale.  This includes a $23.50 version, and a $37.50 version that includes a more durable mirror and medical ID tags embedded in the wristband.

How practical, or usable the Rearviz will be remains to be seen.  It’s utility will vary based on the type of handle bars your bike has, as well as the geometry of the bike’s frame as this will influence where your elbows are relative to the mirror’s position.

Sorry, no word on a launch date.
