The Pioneer DEH X69000BT is meant to make sure that you’re always able to enjoy some good music whenever you’re out for a ride. The head unit is built for a single din fit, and includes a CD receiver so that you’ll always be able to listen to your MP3 CDs. Audio streaming via Bluetooth lets you play music from your phone through the car stereo, but if you have some tracks in your flash drive that you’d want to bump to, the Pioneer audio system also comes with a USB port that you can slot it into. Could this be the best car stereo for you? Stick around and find out. After all, a car radio is a must and undoubtedly one of the best car accessories to have, especially for music lovers.

Why We Like It – Pioneer DEH-X6900BT

This Pioneer head unit is a middle-of-the-road solution for buyers who don’t want to dig too deep into their wallet for a car stereo, and also don’t want something too cheap. It comes with a CD player, works great when paired with an iOS or Android device through bluetooth, and is very easy to operate.

Pros
  • Supports Hands Free calling
  • Supports both Android & iOS devices
  • Can have 2 Bluetooth connections at once
Cons
  • Can’t play audio visual content

Performance

Thanks to seven built-in amplifiers, the sound quality that you’ll get from this Pioneer car audio system is nothing short of impressive. It’s actually up to par with many of the more expensive car stereos you can find in the market like the pioneer avh-1300nex. The system also allows for Bluetooth connectivity, and can support up to 2 simultaneous connections at a time. This is great if you want to stream music from your Android device or connect both your iPad iPhone at once.

Design

The Pioneer DEH X69000BT isn’t very large in size, and one of the reasons for that is it doesn’t come with a large touchscreen display. In effect, this means you won’t be able to play audio video content as you would with the boss audio bv9358b. The audio system also doesn’t come with a wireless remote control, but it does include a CD player that you can use to play MP3s if you wish. Once you get used to it, the controls are easy to reach over when your eyes are fixed on the road, and with the 15 brightness levels that are available on the 2-line display to choose from, you can customize it to your own liking.

Value

Even if you don’t consider yourself that much of a techie, setting up your custom audio settings on the Pioneer head unit should be a breeze thanks to the smooth user interface. Once you learn how to do it properly, it can result in very high quality sound. The fact that the car stereo doesn’t include a remote may be disappointing to some, but as a work around, users might want to consider downloading the Advanced Remote Control ARC app. This for control of audio playback on their devices via bluetooth. If you can’t do with the inability to play audio visual content, then perhaps the atoto a6 might be a better option for your needs.

Pioneer DEH-X6900BT Wrap Up

This Pioneer in-dash CD player features the latest Hands Free Profile (HFP 1.6) in Bluetooth technology to allow for handsfree calling, and works with both Android and iOS devices so that you can stream music from both without any worries.
