Why We Like It – Pictek Gaming Mouse Review

The Pictek Gaming Mouse bridges the gap between affordable pricing and performance. You’ll get that edge in gaming you want without putting your wallet in a coma. If you want a mouse that you can take on the go instead, take a look at our review of the MoGo MouseBT: Bluetooth PCMCIA sized mouse.

Pros
  • Great performance
  • Affordable pricing
  • Aesthetically pleasing
Cons
  • Cable looks and feels a little cheap

Performance

Speaking of DPI, the Pictek Gaming Mouse maxes out at a DPI of 7,200, higher than the Logitech G203 Prodigy’s 6000 DPI. However, a DPI of 7,200 is really sensitive—thankfully, it has an adjustable DPI with the two buttons near the mouse buttons. What’s also great is the Pictek Gaming Mouse also has various polling rates such as 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1000Hz, decreasing lag between the movements of the mouse at a wide range of hertz. And since it’s a wired gaming mouse, lag is decreased even further compared to a wireless mouse. Might you be interested in a drone with a 2K camera, 120° FOV, and 75° adjustable wide angle? Design

The Pictek Gaming Mouse has a very gamer-like design, ergonomic curves and sharp angles without being too obnoxious, or making wild design choices like the Cooler Master MM710. PC gaming feels like heaven with the mouse fitting very comfortably for both big and large hands—it isn’t too big or too small. However, the cable does feel and look cheap; it isn’t that aesthetically pleasing braided cable you see on the Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition. Value

When you consider the performance of this mouse, you are getting one really good deal—especially if you are working on a budget build. This is true for most of Pictek gaming mouse wired gaming mice. The DPI is high enough that it supports a wide range of gaming styles, and more than accurate enough to match your reaction time. It doesn’t hurt to have seven programmable buttons, two of which are additional buttons on the side.

Pictek Gaming Mouse Review Wrap Up

The Pictek Gaming Mouse does a great job of bridging the gap between gaming mice and affordability. It serves as one of the best choices for an entry level gaming mouse, or for any budget build. For the most part, the mouse is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes both in terms of design and RGB lighting, though the cable does feel and look cheap. Its performance makes up for it.
