Leica's First DLP Projector, The Pradovit D-1200, Launches At Photokina

Leica, which I think is now owned by Panasonic (don’t quote me on that), introduced its first DLP projector at the Photokina show, the Leica Pradovit D-1200.  Specs include a 1920×1080 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio), 2,000 lumen brightness, 2,500:1 contrast ratio and DVI, HDMI and RCA outputs.  Lieca has seen it fit to toss in a ‘eco mode’ which reduces the lumens to 1,400 and increases lamp life from 3,000 to 4,000 hours.

The Leica Pradovit D-1200 is set to launch this May in Japan and will cost about $12,700.
