Launched in 2019, the Huawei Y7 is a mid-range phone whose features make it a great bargain for its selling price. The Android smartphone features a dual camera set up on its rear where there’s a 13MP and a 2MP camera, and on its front, it boasts of a 8MP HDR camera to take amazing selfies with. The phone relies on a Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor for optimum performance, and packs a 4000mAh battery to keep it going. Does it have what it takes to take on other brands as the best Android phone in the market? Let’s find out.

Why We Like It – Huawei Y7 Dub-LX3

The Huawei Y7 is a great all-round phone that comes with all the smart features that most users would like, at a price that doesn’t leave a huge hole in your wallet. The phone supports dual-SIM functionality, has a fingerprint sensor for security, and comes with a decent 4000 mAh battery for all-day use. Performance

The Huawei Y7 comes packed with a healthy 3 GB of RAM for super fast execution of tasks (better than the 2GB you get with the Google Pixel 3a, but not up to par with the 6GB that the Samsung Galaxy A70 offers), and ships with Android 8.1 Oreo for super smooth functioning. The phone also offers 32GB worth of space for storage, though this can be expanded up to 512 GB through a micro SD card if you’d like space for a lot more media files and documents. Users who have multiple SIM cards will also be able to use them simultaneously with the Huawei Y7 as it comes with 2 nano SIM slots, as well as connectivity support for Bluetooth 4.2, LTE and Wi-Fi standards up to IEEE 802.11n. It’s cameras are also impressive, with the 13 MP main sensor spotting a f/1.8 aperture, while the 2MP one has a f/2.4 aperture. It’s front camera is equally adept at 8MP, and supports face detection for unlocking your phone. Design

Available in Aurora Blue, Midnight Black or Coral Red, the Huawei Y7 dub lx3 sports a 6.26-inch display panel that has a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 1520×720. Like most smartphones released today, the phone features a sleek all-display design with no buttons on its front panel, and at 0.37 pounds, it’s almost the same weight with most smartphones in the market. It’s predecessor features a back case that is all-plastic, but this time, the new Y7 comes with a nice glossy finish for better appeal. USB connectivity or charging is done through its micro USB port, and on its back, you’ll find a fingerprint sensor (located on the bottom front of the Moto E5) that you can use to prevent any unauthorised use. Value

Compared to the previous Y7 that was launched in 2018, the Y7 2019 comes with a number of decent upgrades that most users will find to be very useful. While the 2018 model has a 5.9-inch screen, 2GB of RAM and 3000mAh of battery capacity, the 2019 release has got a bigger 6.26-inch screen, 3GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery.
