The Blu Studio Mini Android Phone is a budget device that you should go for if you just need a smartphone that does its job well and doesn’t come with too many extra features. The phone comes pre-installed with the Android 9 Pie operating system, and features a 5.5-inch curved glass touchscreen display that is just a pleasure to use. Photos come out great thanks to the 13MP sensor on its rear with LED flash, and with an Octa-Core 1.6GHz processor, you shouldn’t expect it to freeze all of a sudden when running your apps. Does the Blu Studio have what it takes to be the best Android phone for buyers on a budget? Read this review and find out.

Why We Like It – Blu Studio Min Android Phone

In need of a secondary phone and don’t want to spend too much money on it? The Blu Studio Mini phone retails at about $60, and has all the basic necessities you might need a smartphone to come with. It’s got 32 GB worth of storage, 2 GB of RAM and a 3000 mAh battery that you can replace in case some issues crop up.

Pros
  • Pocket friendly price
  • Removable battery
  • Dual SIM functionality
Cons
  • No NFC

Performance

Backed by a 3000 mAh battery, the Blu Studio Mini android phone offers a decent amount of battery life for the regular user, and if the battery ever develops a problem, it’s removable so you’ll be able to replace it. The phone also comes equipped with 2GB of RAM to keep it as snappy as the Google Pixel 3a, and 32GB of internal memory that’s expandable to 64GB through the micro SD slot. Dual SIM functionality is also supported with this phone, meaning you can opt to have your national carrier in one slot and an international SIM card in another. We have also compiled this Blu Studio 5 5hd Smartphone Black review so you can have a variety of options to choose from.

Design

The Blu Studio Mini Android phone’s 5.5-inch screen doesn’t really match the 6.7-inch AMOLED display that you’ll find on the Samsung Galaxy A70, but it’s still a decent mid-range screen with a 720 by 1400 resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Among the first few things you’ll notice is its selfie camera and LED flash on the left, while on its back there’s a 13 MP camera with an LED flash next to it as well. Unfortunately, the phone doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner, but it does sport a micro USB port for charging, and includes both a screen protector and a silicone case in its package. Value

Given its affordable price, the Blu Mini phone serves as a fantastic option especially for kids, since even if they lose or damage it, replacing won’t be as expensive as the Moto E5. Also, the Blu Mini phone isn’t really locked to any carrier, so you should be able to use it anywhere in the world. Connectivity on the Blu Studio Mini is a bit too limited than we’d like as the phone doesn’t have NFC, though with support for Wi-Fi connecting to the Internet should never be a problem.

Blu Studio Min Android Phone Wrap Up

For most people, the Blu Studio Mini phone is bought as a second phone for one particular function, or just a backup phone in case your main one develops problems. As per most of the customer reviews we’ve seen left on its Amazon page, a majority of users only use it on WiFi at home, or just as an extra device for the kids to use and play games on.
