The Fat Tire Recumbent Trike is an extremely durable tricycle and one of the best electric trikes, thanks to a high carbon steel frame and an aluminum alloy carrier. Many reviewers liked the adjustable and comfortable cushioned fiberglass seat, which can bear a load capacity of 360 pounds. Why We Like It – Fat Tire Recumbent Trike

The fantastic electric Fat Tire Recumbent Trike is designed with ultra fat tires, for stability, a durable high carbon steel frame and extremely comfortable fiberglass cushioned seat. A different 3-wheel trike that you might be interested in is in the Ewheels ew 29 review.

Pros
  • Durable high carbon steel frame
  • Cushioned fiberglass seat is extremely comfortable
  • 750w motor can go up to 28 MPH
Cons
  • Battery takes over 8 hours to reach a full charge

Durability & Build Quality

Additionally, this recumbent trike takes a couple of hours to fully assemble and requires a suite of common household tools, although it is still one of the best bikes on the market. The Recumbent Trikes wave a bit of a reversed design compared to other trikes with the rear wheel being left by itself, a style known as a fat tad. The rear suspension works well enough to keep the seat height well enough above the ground clearance to prevent scraping. Performance (Speed & Acceleration)

When it comes to speed the ultra powerful 48v 750watt brushless rear hub motor can reach speeds of up to 28 miles per hour unlike some of the competition like the Razor Power Rider 360 Electric Tricycle that cant go above ten mph. With the fat tire trike you could go anywhere with the tires gripping the ground like the Addmotor Motan.

Range & Battery

Though the lithium-ion battery that accompanies this fat tire electric trike can get up to 50 miles of use on a single charge, we did find that it took a while to reach a maximum charge, over eight hours.

Safety features

The disc brakes will ensure the trike can come to a complete stop with little in the way of putting the rider in danger as the more laid back position of the bike means that the brakes can be tighter with no chance of throwing the rider.

Value

While free shipping isn’t available and the Pedego Trike is a little cheaper than the Fat Trike it still beats the others in a certain style with the low profile letting a larger X seam individual to fit comfortably.

Fat Tire Recumbent Trike Wrap Up

The battery takes a full nights sleep to fully change and while that’s not uncommon for many other batteries of this type. It’s inconvenient for the comparably short time the power assist pedling lasts, though the high speed of the bike could make up for that.
