The Epson VS350 XGA 3LCD Projector is the best Epson projector for all the budget shoppers out there who need something for presentation purposes. And it has sharp three-layer LCD technology, making it one of the best projectors for artists at this price point.

Why We Like It – Epson VS350 XGA 3LCD Projector

Coming with just XGA (1024x768p) native resolution, you might think that the Epson VS350 XGA 3LCD Projector is terribly overpriced. But it is not meant to be used for movie watching or in a home entertainment setup. The Epson VS350 projector is specifically meant for business and office presentations, where you need a projector that provides sharp picture quality in well-lit rooms.

Performance/Resolution

Similar to the Epson VS250 SVGA 3LCD, the Epson VS350 XGA 3LCD Projector, as the name suggests, is an XGA resolution projector. That means the native resolution of this projector is actually 1024x768p. Movies might look blurry at this resolution, but, once again, this projector is not really meant for that. Business presentations or any kind of presentation, for that matter, look really sharp. Still, if you really need a higher bitrate 1080p, go for the QKK Mini Projector instead.

Brightness/Lumens

Epson doesn’t really specify the ANSI lumens rating number on this projector. According to their marketing, the color white brightness comes around 3300 lumens. But that is just applicable for white light. The real lumen number is probably somewhat more akin to about 2800-3000 lumens. If you’re confused by lumens and other projector terms, you’ll want to check out our info article that teaches you how projectors work.

Adjustability/Viewing Angle

The Epson VS350 has a horizontal keystone adjustment slider, which is the most crucial adjustability option in a projector. Many cheaper projectors exclude horizontal keystone adjustability in favor of vertical keystone adjustment. But not this projector. The only unfortunate part is, that it doesn’t play a lot of audio and video codecs out of the box. Even the AuKing Mini Projector, which comes at a much cheaper price, has support for more audio codecs than the Epson VS350 XGA 3LCD Projector.

Durability

The lamp life is rated at 6000 hours (Normal Mode) and 10000 hours (Eco Mode), as is the case with most Epson projectors in this range. But finding a replacement lamp for this projector is pretty easy. You can find one on Amazon itself for around $80~100.

Value

All in all, the Epson VS350 XGA 3LCD Projector provides pretty good value for money for everyone looking for a projector for office presentations and works better than a TV vs a projector in the classroom. But if you want a good projector around this price for entertainment purposes, it’s better to go for the ViewSonic 1080p Projector. Moreover, compare BenQ HT5550 vs Epson 5050UB to see which of these will work best for you.

Epson VS350 XGA 3LCD Projector Wrap Up

The Epson VS350 projector is pretty good all around. While not having support for a lot of codecs does hurt the projector a bit, all the other aspects pretty much make up for it.
