The Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum is an improvement on its predecessor, the V6, in almost every way. It’s unfortunate the run time is still abysmal, but the power it offers, and its ease of cleaning, cannot be matched. Check out our best Dyson vacuum list to see how it stacks up against its brothers!

Why We Like It – Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum

The Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum takes what you loved most about the V6, and some things from the V8, and puts them in the V7 to create a truly wonderful handheld vacuum. It provides much more suction power than other vacuums currently available, and three attachments which make vacuuming that much easier.

Performance

The Dyson V7 Handheld Vacuum’s motor has a max power of 100 air watts, which is pretty good. The Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum contains a lithium ion battery, but the battery life on the V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum Cleaner clocks in at a measly 30 minutes. But this power is fade free, so there is some light at the end of the tunnel. On max mode, the Dyson V7 Trigger Vacuum provides great suction and easily bests other handheld vacuums when it comes to suction power. If you need a more traditional vacuum, you’d best buy the Dyson DC65 Animal, which is also incredibly powerful.

Design

The Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum still features the same motor as found on the Dyson V6, but even with this motor, V7 can still pick up dirt and pet hair and we would recommend not focusing on this when making your decision. A good motor is a good motor, and why change something that isn’t broken? An improvement over the V6, however, is the V7’s ease to empty. The V7 integrates the V8’s bin, which makes it much less messy to clean than the V6. But if you’re looking for something even easier to clean, and prefer a more traditional-looking vacuum, try out the Dyson V6 Motorhead.

Value

The Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum comes with 3 tools: a combination tool, a crevice tool, and a mini motorized tool. Take note, though, that if you use the motorized tool, the V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum won’t run for the full 30 minutes. The V7 retails for $200.00 on Dyson’s website, which is a good price as far as handheld vacuum cleaners go. But if you don’t mind going down a model but still having most of the same great amenities, check out the Dyson V6 Trigger.

Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum Wrap Up

The Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum would be a great addition to any home, especially apartments and condos. It’s suction power is fantastic, it’s discreet enough to hide-away almost anywhere, and the attachments make vacuuming easier and more efficient. Hopefully, on the next model, they do something about the battery life.
