Why We Like It – Dyson V10 Review

Dyson is constantly innovating with their cordless stick vacuums, with the V10 Absolute model being just one of several of their new V10 line. Each one serves a particular function, but you can be sure that each model provides power and performance. Compare this vacuum with our Dyson DC41 review to see how the different models stack up.

Performance

Part of the power driving the Dyson V10 Absolute is its Direct Drive cleaner head, outputting better brush bar power than Dyson’s previous cordless vacuums. Suction strength has also been improved, even having various suction modes, one of which increases the strength at the cost of battery life. Its run time is now three times longer than V6 Trigger and V6 Motorhead.

With its tough bristles, carpet cleaning is a dream, and the soft roller—called the “fluffy head—does an excellent job of removing fine dust and large debris. Unlike the Cyclone V10 Motorhead, the V10 Absolute easily takes care of pet hair, as does the Cyclone V10 Animal by making use of the same mini-motorized tool.

Design

What’s great about the Dyson V10 Absolute is how much power is stuffed into such a compact vacuum cleaner. With its “stick” design, it’s hard to imagine ever going back to an unwieldy and bulky Dyson DC65 (which is still great, by the way). Its bin size is 77 liters, capable of handling the day to day stuff. A few additional tools are thrown in such as a crevice tool for hard to reach places. And if you so choose, you can remove the large attachment and go completely handheld.

Value

To review Dyson Cyclone V10 was a treat. Its performance in terms of power and suction is almost unmatched by any other manufacturer. And Dyson is no stranger to performance. Given its superb battery life and power, not to mention its versatility and major improvements to its predecessor—we can say, with utmost certainty—the Dyson V10 Absolute has amazing value. Dyson may earn your respect with this one, if you were ever on the fence.

Dyson V10 Review Wrap Up

Dyson hit another home run with their new Dyson line, with the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute further improving what was already amazing about their vacuums: power suction and top-of-the-line performance—all of which is wrapped into a lightweight design that’s easy to wield. The V10 offers the best option if you aren’t ready to shell out the high price for the more recent V11 line.
