Why We Like It – Bosch BC905 QuietCast Premium Ceramic

The Bosch BC905 QuietCast Premium Ceramic disc brakes are OE style rubber core shim brake pads that provide excellent stopping power, reduced noise, and are compliant with the 2025 Copper Free Legislation. Like many other Bosch products, these premium brake pads have QuietCast technology to ensure your vehicle comes to a quiet (and dust-free) stop.

Pros
  • QuietCast Premium Technology Means This Brake Pad Makes Lower Noise Than Other Brake Pads
  • OE Style Rubber Core
  • Premium Ceramic Disc Brake Pads Are Copper Free (Per The 2025 Copper Free Legislation)
Cons
  • Some Of The Brakes Are Missing A Wear Indicator (Which Squeal To Alert You That You Need To Change The Brakes)
  • Only For Use On The Rear Wheels

Performance

If you need quality auto parts, the QuietCast Premium Disc brake could be the perfect addition for your truck (if you have a Honda or an Acura vehicle, you might also consider the K1043 Evolution Drilled Slotted Ceramic!). Where available, the Bosch QuietCast Premium comes complete with hardware & lubricant so you can easily perform a brake job yourself. These brakes are copper-free and have an OE-style multilayer rubber core design, which means that not only will these brakes quickly bring you to a quick complete stop, but they will also last for a while!

Design

These brakes are 100% copper-free, instead opting for a ceramic and semi-metallic design. They have a protective transfer layer which helps extend the life of your pads & rotors. The multilayer shim brings your vehicle to a complete halt quickly without an abundance of dust and does so quietly because of the Bosch QuietCast technology. However, it’s important to remember that these brakes are only for the rear wheels, but the Power Stop K2316 Front Brake Kit is a good option if you need premium disc brakes for the front of your vehicle.

Value

These brakes (sold individually) cost $32.01 per pad, so they’re slightly higher than similar products, but they’re still affordable for most people (if you don’t want to spend over $30 on your disc brake pads, check out the Wagner QuickStop ZD866 Installation Hardware instead!). Bosch is known for providing long-lasting quality products, so a short life shouldn’t be an issue, but it’s still disappointing that there’s no product warranty. You do, however, get free shipping and free returns on this brake pad.

Bosch BC905 QuietCast Premium Ceramic Wrap Up

Bosch BC905 QuietCast Premium Ceramic brake pads are a solid product providing quick & quiet stops for your vehicle. They’re slightly on the pricier side, but still cheap enough that most people will be able to afford them. The brakes are compliant with the 2025 Copper Free legislation and are engineered for a low dust operation, so if you don’t mind spending a little bit over $30 per pad, we highly recommend you buy these for your (compatible) vehicle!
