Instead of waiting for the new phone (who can afford that, right), the Apple iPhone 11 still stands as a shining example of the best smartphone. It’s still the best iPhone for a reason. Hiding underneath its hood is an A13 Bionic Chip, running processes and tasks. Accompanying it is an 11-hour battery life and dual-camera system with a wide angle lens.

Why We Like It – Apple iPhone 11 Review

With new iPhones in the works, this model has gotten a lease on life for the time being with a lower price. Now is the time to get acquitted with its powerful A13 Bionic Chip, long battery life (11 hours), and ultra-wide camera.

Pros
  • A13 Bionic chip is powerful
  • Ultra wide angle camera captures more
  • Great battery life (11 hours)
Cons
  • 64GB is a bit low for base model
  • Fast charger sold separately

Performance

With iPhone 12 on the way, the Apple iPhone 11 is still an excellent smartphone. It’s because of the A13 Bionic Chip running the show. Running apps, performing tasks, and using the camera benefit from it. The 12MP dual-camera system is packed with features that make the argument it’s better than the Google Pixel 4. For example, the new Night Mode is great for low light shots, while Portrait Mode is good for duo-friend photos and selfies. Smart HDR is also included, which pairs wonderfully with its ultra wide lens. If you still like flip phones like I do, you should look at our Alcatel big easy flip review.

Design

Apple continues their tradition of simple, yet sleek design of the iPhone, as seen in the iPhone 11, with its aluminum and glass back design. The smartphone feels good in the hands with a nice weight to it (6.8 ounces), nor does it look or feel like cheap garbage. Its dimensions are 6.61 x 3.66 x 2.05 inches, so it’s fairly wide and long. It has a 6.1-inch screen, after all. There are new colors now, aside from black and white, such as silver and mint green.

Value

Given that the Apple iPhone 11 is a few steps behind the Apple iPhone 11 Pro models, like the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and a few steps above the Apple iPhone SE 2020, the iPhone 11 finds itself comfortably in the middle, and its $700 reflects that, even without the fast charger included (you don’t need it), which matches what last year’s iPhone XS Max is going for these days. Inferior Pro phones and the iPhone XR are still alternatives.

However, like the Apple iPhone Pro Max, having a base model with a storage capacity of 64GB is, quite frankly, pitiful. The standard base model should start at 128GB. With the kind of high quality photos you can take, and apps to install and play, 64GB will go by quick.

Apple iPhone 11 Review Wrap Up

We would’ve loved for the storage to be bigger and a faster charger to be included. That would’ve sealed the deal considering a few new features aren’t present. Still, the Apple iPhone 11 is packing the same A13 Bionic Chip since in a few of our best. It’s ultra-wide angle camera captures so much, and in great detail. And with 11 hours of battery life, Apple found the sweet spot.
