Performance
It was surprising to experience the performance the Akaso V50 Pro has to offer. For starters, it’s packing a 20-megapixel image sensor, going toe-to-toe with the Canon PowerShot ELPH 180 in terms of image quality. And with its image stabilization working overtime, photos were almost always in focus.
The same can be said when we reviewed Akaso’s video resolution. For such a low price, we weren’t expecting 4K, and it even captures 30 frames per second, which is six more frames than the Panasonic Lumix FZ80. You’ll have lots of fun with the time-lapse capturing—especially for action-packed moments. It just may be better than some of the leading Panasonic digital cameras.

Design
You might be wondering where all the buttons are on the Akaso V50 Pro. Everything’s done via touch screen, except the power and shutter buttons. It’s 2-inches, which is particularly large, but it isn’t too tiny either. For another medium-sized device, check out our Fujifilm XF10 review.
There’s ports for an external microphone, HDMI, and an SD card slot, though it’s only limited to 64GB micro SDs. Unfortunately, the Akaso V50 isn’t waterproof, technically speaking.
