The Winegard Antenna HD8200U is able to receive UHF elements and, in particular, has powerful VHF performance. Being able to receive both signals is important in order to maximize channel gain. Ease of Install
Winegard Heavy Duty Platinum HD Antennas come with a coaxial cable, just like the 1byone Indoor Amplified TV Antenna, which is becoming rarer nowadays. If there’s anything pain associated with the installation of the antenna it’s that the nuts and bolts are left loose inside the box and can be easily lost. Winegard would do well to put them in a plastic bag or something.
Durability

Other than that, it’s built pretty solid. The metal feels very solid, there’s much more of it than there is plastic, and the holes all line up right for easier assembly.

While 65 miles is definitely a long range, it’s just a smidge under the 70 mile range we consider the average for long range antennas.
