With the Wagner FLEXiO 890 Paint Sprayer, you can use almost any type of paint. The Flexio is an HVLP paint gun designed for thinner paints but with x boost will handle enamels and latex paint, but make sure you thin them first. Varnishes, lacquers, and even acrylics are easily pumped through the hose to the spray gun and come out in one of two spray patterns. Despite how well this sprayer performs it didn’t make it on our Best Airless Paint Sprayer list. Its usefulness and efficiency makes it one of the best tools to have in your home.

  • Very lightweight
  • Easy clean-up
  • Comes with smaller detailed sprayer
Cons
  • Best for spraying thinned paints
  • Subject to overspray mist

Performance

Many homeowners with a keen spirit for DIY will benefit from the purchase of an 890, but it can be used by others. Property managers will find the Wagner sprayer with its air power can save them money over hiring a professional. This model would be good for a smaller business but it’s not really for large-scale, professional jobs but it could be very handy smaller professional touch-ups and small-scale projects outside of the home. The Flexio 890 is designed for large projects like walls, decks, and fences, because of this smaller detailed work with single-stage paints and topcoats isn’t recommended. There is a detailed tip for doing these smaller projects, but you will end up using more paint than required to get the job done. If you want a sprayer with material adjustment, then you will love our Wagner Spraytech 0518050 518050 Sprayer review.

Design

The Flexio 890 comes with two nozzle sizes making it great for a multitude of jobs, the larger ISpray nozzle will complete walls and ceilings in record-breaking time. The smaller detail finish nozzle is ideal for working on the fine finish work like cabinets, trim and furniture. In addition, the lightweight of the unit allows for less fatigue during longer projects, this is due to the fact that the bulk of the unit, like the power box sits securely on the ground while you paint. All you have to do is hold the gun, aim and spray. While some HVLP paint sprayer will give you a hard time when you want to clean it, but the Wagner FLEXiO 890 Paint Sprayer can be cleaned with a steady stream of soapy water, it works for the air hose too. Mind you despite the strong material flow, that’s paint or water mind you. Despite that there are other paint sprayers that manage to compete like the HomeRight C800971 Painter Painting Projects.

Value

The true Value int this compared to the likes of the Wagner Spraytech 0518050 518050 Sprayer is that it’s truly for professional use to give a quality finish all thanks to it’s X boost power giving both solid air pressure and simple flow control at the tip of your fingers. Wagner FLEXiO 890 Paint Sprayer Wrap Up

You’d get double the spray pattern of the cheapest option, the REXBETI Ultimate 750 Electric Lightweight Spraying, oh and an advertising program that technically could be used to learn how to use the sprayer, but the only review that mentioned the disk found more entertainment by using it for a prank.
