Widely known for its affordable electronic products, Vizio is the brand you go for when you want to make the most use of your money. The Vizio SB3820-C6 is a great example of that, and their ability to throw in Dolby Digital and DTS TruSurround, as well as DTS TruVolume, shows just how much value you’ll get with it as part of your home theater. The audio system can also play your music through its wireless built-in Bluetooth facility, and its deep bass modules will deliver an immersive listening experience. To learn more about what else it has in store, go through our Vizio SB3820-C6 review and also see if it’s the best soundbar you can get within a tight budget. Why We Like It – Vizio SB3820-C6

If you don’t want to spend more than necessary on a soundbar, then the Vizio SB3820-C6 should be top of your mind. The soundbar boasts a decent 2 channels for sound, can reach up to 100 decibels in loudness, and allows for a subwoofer to deliver that surround sound experience.

Pros
  • Inexpensive
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Well designed
Cons
  • Subwoofer bought separately
  • No display

Performance

Unlike the Sony HT-X8500, this soundbar has only 2 channels. But, it still manages to convey a room-filling sound. It supports Dolby Digital which gives dimension to the sound, and DTS TruSurround Sound to create a solid sound environment. It doesn’t come with 4K connectivity like the Yamaha YAS-108, but the soundbar maintains a high sound quality thanks to less than 1% total harmonic distortion, which basically means you can play music at high volume and still get to hear a clear sound. There’s an option for an additional subwoofer thanks to a subwoofer output, but given the 100 Decibels that the soundbar can belt out by itself, you might not really find any need for it. While the Libratone Zipp may not be as strong as the Vizio, it still puts out great sound anywhere you use it.

Design

Just like other soundbars (such as the Sony HT-ST5000), the Vizio SB3820-C6 adopts a sleek and minimalist design, and is wrapped in a black fabric that covers almost all of its entirety. The Logitech mobile speakerphone P710e curiously enough also has a simplistic design. On its rear, the soundbar sports a nice set of digital audio inputs that include 1 analog stereo RCA input and stereo mini jack, 1 coaxial digital audio and 1 optical digital optical input, and 1 RCA subwoofer output and 1 USB jack. Its packaging includes the soundbar itself, a remote control, a power adapter, a coaxial audio cable digital audio cable, and a stereo RCA to 3.5mm audio cable.

Value

A 2 channel soundbar may not sound as exciting as first, but given a chance, this Vizio sound system delivers great sound much to the amazement of skeptics that may shun it due to its low price. If you check it on Amazon com, it retails at about $200, which is far more considerable than the $500 and above you’ll have to cough out for a soundbar from a well-established brand.
