Needless to say, 4-wheel drive doesn’t always cut it in the snow. After all, it simply provides even power distribution across all the tires and doesn’t do much to improve traction on the actual wheels or distribute the weight of the vehicle across the snow. If your best trailer tires, are too worn down for winter, we’re here to provide a solution. That said, we’ve seen everyday vehicles that have had their wheel system replaced by a tank like tread system that can cut through the snow like no other. Alternatively, you could opt for a chain system, which surprising takes a fair bit of rigging.

The Track N Go appears to be the first and only of its kind. Instead of having to remove the tires, the vehicle, as demonstrated in the video, just need to drive onto the rigging. It’s not clear what the attachment process is, but by all accounts it looks simple enough that even the most grease monkey averse could handle it. Once in place, the driver just need accelerate as normal, causing the wheels to spin and thus powering the tank treads, which provide unparalleled traction and weight distribution in the snow.
The Track N Go system comes from AD Boivin, a company that has apparently known for marketing powersports vehicles like motocross bikes and snowmobiles. Unfortunately, the product is in the prototype stage, they haven’t said how much and it might not ever go into production, though they seem to hold a number of patents on the system.
