The Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch was built with durability and function in mind, and quite possibly the best smartwatch around. A tough screen with a great water-resistant rating, fast performance, and long battery life all wrapped into a premium smartwatch. It’s both a fitness tracker and an extension of your smartphone device. The Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch is for those looking to upgrade. Why We Like It – Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch Review

When you use Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch, you’re getting the best of both worlds: a smartwatch that tracks activity like a Fitbit Versa, but also answer text messages and make phone calls.

Pros
  • Can respond to texts and make calls
  • Compatible with Android & iOS
  • Can be worn while swimming
Cons
  • Expensive

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy Watch has oodles of functionality, along with Samsung health apps. A microphone and speaker is built in for phone conversations and voice-to-text messaging, along with notifications. You can make use of Samsung Pay through the watch.

The Galaxy uses most, if not all of the features found in the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. It has heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and stress monitoring. It’ll last a solid 3 to 4 days, a much better battery than the Apple Watch Series 4.

Arguably its best feature is its water-resistant rating of 5ATM. This means it can withstand water pressure down to 50 meters deep, though only for a short amount of time—more than the Gear S2. However, it’s one of the few smartwatches that can be worn while swimming, unlike the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy Watch has a very sophisticated, but traditional design. Just looking at it quickly belies the fact that it’s a smartwatch. It comes in three variations: rose gold, midnight black, and stainless steel silver. Not quite as many options as the Apple Watch Series 4, but plenty. The watch comes with a rotating bezel around a 1.3-inch display, the largest of two watch faces.

Value

From its fitness tracking, to its ability to withstand swimming, to its calling and texting functions, the Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch has everything you need in a smartwatch. There’s no doubt about it: the smartwatch has great value.

With that said, the smartwatch is a bit on the expensive side. This probably shouldn’t be your first smartwatch, but rather an upgrade once you’ve familiarized yourself with smartwatches. In fact, the Letscom Fitness Tracker Smartwatch is perfect for first-time smartwatch users.

Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch Review Wrap Up

The Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch tackles the three biggest needs. It isn’t locked to just Android users; iOS users can make use of its functions, too. You can respond to messages and calls. With Its gorilla glass screen, it can be worn in water up to 50 meters deep. Sure, it’s a bit expensive, but it’s a Galaxy watch Samsung designed for wellness tracking and personal use.
