The OnePlus 7T has a lot going for it in the competition for best phone for vlogging. With some setbacks, such as no external storage and no wireless charging, the phone houses some great features for the potential vlogger. The McLaren Edition is a very fun alternative and its powerful performance makes it one of the best smartphones in its budget range!

Why We Like It – OnePlus 7T PRO HD1910

The OnePlus 7T PRO HD1910 is a powerful device thanks to its top-of-the-line chipset, the Snapdragon 855 Plus, and powerful 8GB of RAM. The 256GB of onboard storage is a nice feature considering most smartphones start out at half of that and increase in price as you go higher.

Overall Performance

OnePlus has given the 7T Pro the Snapdragon 855 plus chip set and paired it with 8GB of RAM to make it an absolute force to be reckoned with. It also comes with 256GB of onboard storage, which beats out even the Samsung Galaxy S10+, but there’s no option to expand it via external SD card memory. Still, it’s able to perform everyday tasks, and even play the latest games, without issue.

Battery Life

The 7T Pro includes a 4085mAH battery which performs admirably even if it is just slightly better than the standard OnePlus 7 Pro. Still, it’s capable of lasting a whole day even with extensive use. If you’re just texting and emailing it should last even longer. The main draw here is the inclusion of warp charge, OnePlus’ version of fast charge. Wireless charging isn’t included, so consider the Apple iPhone XS 64GB if that’s what you want.

Display

One of the main draws is the gorgeous and large display. In this sense, the 7T Pro can compete with other high-end phones like the Apple iPhone 11 Pro. The resolution is stunning, and there is no notch, punch-hole, or anything else cluttering the display. The 90Hz refresh rate makes your touch inputs smooth and quick and makes for a much faster viewing experience. This Oneplus model allows you to play games but not as smoothly as you will when you are playing on Cat S62.

Durability

To facilitate the large display mentioned previously, the 7T Pro is rather large which could make it difficult to operate for those with smaller hands. Still, it’s quite comfortable to hold thanks to the rounded edges. The phone supports dual sim too! There is no IP Waterproof rating though. Not to say it won’t survive an odd splash, but you should try very hard not to get it wet.

Value

Haze Blue is the only color available on the phone. And while some may appreciate the minimalist aspect of this, just one or two more colors would have allowed a person to express their individuality much more. However, you can get the McLaren Edition, with a design based around the sports car brand. It even comes with 12GB of RAM and 5G too!

OnePlus 7T PRO HD1910 Wrap Up

OnePlus has been making great strides in order to compete with Apple and Samsung, and the 7T Pro is a great effort in that regard. While it’s fierce retaliation against wireless charging is odd, the fast charging it employs is top-notch. Further, the 90Hz refresh rate is a great upgrade to the 60Hz normally found on smartphones.
