For those invested in the art industry, and still perform traditional pen and paper art, the best computer vacuum is the MECO Desktop Vacuum. Why? For starters, it fits in the palm of your hand. Lastly, it does wonders by quickly sucking up pencil shavings and eraser bits with ease. If you also need a floor vacuum, check out this best vacuum cleaner list.

Why We Like It – MECO Desktop Vacuum

For the struggling artist, the MECO Desktop Vacuum will keep your creative space clear of dust and eraser bits, thanks to its good suction and incredibly small design. It’s a desk ornament with a helpful function.

Pros
  • Tiny and easy to use
  • Storage box hides charger
  • Ideal device for artists
Cons
  • So-so performance on desktop keyboards

Power

Don’t be fooled by its size, the MECO Desktop Vacuum is carrying a fair amount of suction power, much like the KeepTpeeK keyboard vacuum cleaner. It can lift small grains of rice, easily—so bits from erasers and pencils are also a cinch. And since it’s a rechargeable cordless keyboard cleaner, it can be charged over and over.

Additionally, while suction is helpful for cleaning out electronics, forced-blown air can be just as effective. Learn more about this in our Metro vacuum ED500P DataVac review.

Speed & Efficiency

The MECO Desktop Vacuum Desk Dust Cleaner Mini does wonderfully in small settings and is the best cleaner in that regard, but this isn’t the kind of handheld vacuum that cleans your entire home. If, say, you wipe eraser shavings away, you can easily clean it up in under a minute. However, desktop keyboards—ones with raised keys—can be a struggle. You’re better off using cleaning gel, an Ehoyal 2-in-1 Computer Vacuum, or Metro Vacuum MDV-1BA DataVac Pro.

Bin Capacity & Maintenance

It’s obvious the MECO Desktop Vacuum Desk Cleaner doesn’t hold much. It was designed for small jobs, so we won’t fault it for having a small dust bin. Maintaining the dust bin is minimal, only requiring a small brush for quick cleaning.

Durability

There’s no fooling anyone here: the MECO Desktop Vacuum is pretty cheap in terms of durability. That’s not necessarily a bad thing; it doesn’t affect its function in the slightest, so again, we won’t fault it for that. In fact, it keeps its price low.

Value

Considering how cheap the MECO Desktop Dust Cleaner Mini Table Dust Vacuum Cleaner is, we not only wholeheartedly recommend it for struggling artists, but also the Metro Vacuum DF500P DataVac as a companion. While one can be used for cleaning dust hairs crumbs scraps, laptop piano computer car and desktop, the other can be used to dust your work PC.

MECO Desktop Vacuum Wrap Up

The MECO Desktop Vacuum is a surprising win in our eyes. It’s the kind of desk ornament that actually serves a purpose, especially in the hands of an artist. It fits in the palm of your hand and is packing enough suction power to pick up pencil shavings and eraser bits. We only wish it were just a smidge better on desktop keyboards.
