Performance

Key & Peele present their sketches to a live audience through a TV screen on stage. They handle much of the acting in these skits, but sometimes they feature other notable actors. Key & Peele perform a wide spectrum of characters. While the majority of people will find this series hilarious, if you don’t see it as funny there are other options to watch like The Handmaid’s Tale.

Design

The show was filmed in the United States in front of a live audience. Key & Peele speak to the audience and joke with one another before they present their sketches in the episode. This is a show that reminds me of Chapelle’s show. The sketches cover all kinds of situations, so the show stays interesting. Another interesting series on our list is The Act, a story about a mother and daughter committing medical fraud.

Value

This series will have anyone laughing for a while. The Key Peele sketches take on interesting topics ranging from popular culture subjects like flash mobs, to their personal experiences on being half black and half white. With the way this show is formatted, there is no actual plot to follow, so you can choose to jump in at any point. If you’re searching for a different series with a good plot to follow, Atlanta Is the best choice.
