Support
Support on the HEALGEN Gaming Chair is average for a gaming chair, in a very good way; you’re looking at a comfortable memory foam seat, padded armrests, and a curved back with a lumbar pillow to provide adequate lumbar support. A dedicated neck pillow like what you’d find on the RESPAWN Gaming Chair or Dowinx Gaming Chair Office Chair PC Chair rather than a padded spot at the top of the back would have been nice to see, but it’s forgivable for the price.
Comfort
The HEALGEN Gaming Chair is comfortable for the same reasons it provides solid support and solid adjustability. Its memory foam seat is very nice to see at this price point, though some customers complain there’s not enough padding; your mileage will vary there. The chair reclines pretty far, topping out at 155°, and it has a footrest that kicks out, allowing you to properly recline in it. Furthermore, it has long, padded armrests, which is very nice to see; many chairs lack padding and/or employ super short armrests. Unfortunately, the chair’s main selling point doesn’t work especially well. Its massage functionality doesn’t really work well as a massager, and is best left turned off.
Adjustability
With a decent reclining range, seat height adjustment, and a flip-out footrest, adjustability is solid for the price. The chair reclines far back enough that it’s usable for a number of functions, while the footrest helps it serve as a proper recliner. Surprisingly, even its armrests can be adjusted; there’s nothing to really complain about there, which is impressive considering its low price point.
Breathability
Save for a small hole on the back of the chair, breathability is virtually nonexistent. It’s made of pleather and dense padding, with no mesh. Were a proper neck pillow present it’s possible the gap between your body and the chair the pillow would cause would create airflow if air was hitting the hole, but as it stands, breathability is not really something the HEALGEN Gaming Chair has in mind.
Value
Value is the HEALGEN Gaming Chair’s main selling point, though it’s not necessarily the absolute best value on the market. Spending a bit more will get you slightly better products, while spending less will get you similar (but worse overall) products; the $140 PC Gaming Chair Racing Office Chair Ergonomic Desk Chair immediately springs to mind, featuring similar ergonomics and similar build materials for $30 less.

It’s sandwiched between cheaper, similar-but-worse chairs and slightly pricier, slightly better chairs, making it a bit of a tough sell; spending a bit more is worth it if you can stretch your budget, while saving a bit more might be worth it if you can’t. If stepping up in budget a bit isn’t an option and you want the absolute best gaming chair you can get for $180, this is a very solid pick, but its value is a bit tough.
