It took awhile, but the Dango T01 Tactical Wallet manages to share a few qualities with Cool Wallets, while still maintaining many major key points the Best Tactical Wallet has. Its lightweight and durable 6061 aerospace aluminum wallet chassis can withstand the rough and tumble of the outdoors. It also wields an MT02 multi-tool after the survivalist’s heart.

Why We Like It – Dango T01 Tactical Wallet

The Dango T01 Tactical Wallet can be a survivalist’s best friend, due to its ability to not only hold up to a dozen cards, but with the inclusion of an MT02 multi-tool for cutting, measuring, bottle opener, and more.

Aesthetics

While some would find bare metal and leather unappealing, the Dango T01 Tactical Wallet actually manages to be easy on the eyes. Most of the aluminum is hidden, leaving most of the presentation to its genuine leather, which is cut really nicely, unlike the amateurish Trayvax Element.

Durability

There’s no doubt about it: this Dango wallet is durable. The main construction is of 6061 aerospace aluminum, which is lightweight, strong, and has a high corrosion resistance. Most importantly, the MT02 multi-tool slotted inside is made of stainless steel, and we all know how strong steel is.

Performance

The Dango T01 Tactical Wallet is essentially a survivalist’s best friend. It can hold your credit cards, for sure (up to 12), but its best feature is the MT02 multi-tool inside. It drops your maximum card count of 12 down to 10 if you decide to use it, but that’s still more than the Trayvax Ascent. It has a sharpened edge for cutting, notches for measuring, and even a nail pryer. On top of that, you get RFID blocking for protection against theft.

Size & Versatility

For all that it can do, it’s surprising to note it only measures 4.4″w x 2.6″h x 0.4″l in size. It’s barely wider than the width of the average man’s hand. In other words: sliding the Dango T01 Tactical Wallet into your pocket isn’t a problem at all.

Value

With all the praise we’ve given the Dango T01 Tactical Wallet, is it worth the price? Compared to the Magpul Daka Everyday Wallet, it’s a bit overpriced. If you just need a place to carry cards and money, we’d go with the Magpul, and at the third of the price. The multi-tool is unique, but chances are any survivalist worth their salt likely already has a better functioning multi-tool.

Dango T01 Tactical Wallet Wrap Up

The Dango T01 Tactical Wallet is, at its best, a fascinating wallet, but a niche tool at its worst. There’s no doubting its expert use of aerospace aluminum to create a lightweight and durable frame, and heat-treated steel multi-tool. However, said multi-tool cuts down on your maximum number of cards.
