Performance
These tire skates by Pentagon Tools will be able to move most vehicles, as they can support up to 6,000 lbs. (the Goplus Dollies Skates Vehicle Diamond also support up to 6,00 lbs., but they have two brakes on each skate). Using this dolly, ball bearings skate over both smooth and rough surfaces with ease. Unfortunately, this tire wheel car dolly lacks brakes, unlike many other models, so its ability to efficiently move a vehicle may become a safety hazard if used on an uneven surface. Design
Each solid steel car dolly ball bearing skate is 12 inches by 16 inches, with four wheels per skate. Oddly enough, brakes are not included on this model (the Red Hound 12 Inches Tire Car Dolly, on the other hand, has two brakes per wheel!) Individually, each wheel car dolly ball bearing skate can hold up to 1,500 lbs. Each tire wheel car skate will need to be assembled when you get it, but all you will have to do is attach the 3″ castors to the skates.
Value
This set of four tire skates by Pentagon Tools will set you back $154.70 (the WEN 73017 Vehicle 1500 Pound Capacity are a cheaper alternative, although they only come in pairs). This is really the main drawback of this product, as you can purchase other sets of tire skates for less money that also have brakes. Pentagon Tools does offer free shipping, and each skate includes an integrated hole for easy storage, but we still think it’s a hard sell for the additional $20-$30 you have to pay as opposed to similar models.
