Lasko Tower Fans come with an adjustable thermostat which further helps in finding the perfect indoor temperature for you. Unfortunately, all these modifications will have to be done by hand as no remote control is included. Nevertheless, this top-grade fan comes fully assembled, so just take it out of the box and start cooling. It’s much easier to operate than using window fans.

Why We Like It – Lasko Fan

The Lasko Fan fits windows that measure between 25-35” Wide and 12” High, which means it can fit most windows. It has an independent motor control for air intake, exhaust, and exchange, and two speeds so you can adjust the airflow to your comfort level or, if you’d like, save on energy costs.

Pros
  • Adjustable Thermostat

Performance/Power

The Lasko Pedestal Fan is a two-speed fan and offers airflow versatility as well as energy efficiency. If you’re looking for a fan that has a little more versatility when it comes to speed settings, make sure you check out the Holmes window fan. The also has patented, fused safety-plug technology to ensure the non-lethal operation and is ETL Listed for that extra bit of safety.

Durability/Build

The Lasko Fan fits windows that are between 25 inches and 35 inches wide and at least 12 inches high and the expander panels create an adjustable height on the unit to ensure a custom fit in your window. It’s made of plastic, though, and while durable, we do wish they didn’t skimp on this and made it out of a durable metal instead. Check out the Bionaire Dual Window Fan for a similar, but metal, window fan.

Noise/Sound Level

The Lasko Fan’s product description reads it has a quiet operation, and we don’t really have any reason to doubt that. However, the dB rating isn’t measured, which makes us feel just a little uneasy. However, most customer reviews do describe the fan as quiet and provide just some comforting background noise, which is unlike some of the high-powered exhaust fans for kitchen use.

Versatility/Modern Features

The Lasko Fan is equipped with independent motor control for air intake, exhaust, and exchange. Unfortunately, these must all be done manually as no remote control is included. But the unit does come with an adjustable thermostat to further aid you in achieving optimal comfort. But if you’d like to use it as a table fan instead of a window fan, it’s small and light enough to do exactly that!

Value

One of the great things about the Lasko Fan is that it comes fully assembled so you can just lift it out of the box, place it in your window, and begin cooling. Compared to many other window fans, the Lasko Fan is very affordable, only $54.00, and comes with a one-year limited warranty. This is incentive enough to have you at least try the unit if you’ve been curious about window fans. But you can also check out the Holmes Window Fan if you’d like a longer, three-year warranty

Lasko Fan Wrap Up

The Lasko Fan does what you want a window fan to do without a lot of the modern features most fans seem to be going with, like a remote control or smartphone accessibility. Still, there is something to be said about not having to have a bunch of remotes and cables laying all-around your house.
